NL Hydro EV Rebate Program – up to $2,500
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro’s provincial EV Rebate Program makes electric vehicles more affordable for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. By increasing the number of EVs on our roads that are powered by clean, renewable energy, we can reduce our carbon emissions and help slow the pace of climate change in the province.
You can save $2,500 on the purchase or lease of a 100% all-electric vehicle and $1,500 for a plug-in hybrid. The rebate is an initiative of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and is administered by Hydro.
Starting April 1, 2022, rebates are available to eligible individuals, businesses, not-for-profit organizations or municipalities in NL for:
– The purchase or lease (minimum 48 months) of a new 100% all-electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid
– The purchase of a pre-owned 100% all-electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid.
Rebates will be issued to qualified participants for eligible all-electric and plug-in hybrid EVs purchased on or after April 1,2022. Completed applications will be accepted from April 1, 2022 to March 15, 2023. Rebates are available on a first-come, first-serve basis or until program funding is depleted.
