What are the income qualifications to receive a kit?

The kit arrived, but it says “non-electric” on the box, but my home is electrically heated. What should I do?
We apologize for this error. Please email EnergySaversKit@TakeChargeNL.ca or call our delivery partner at 1-888-371-6551 and we will get you the correct kit.
I just submitted my application. How long will it take for my kit to arrive?
Kits will normally take 6-8 weeks to reach your home.
One of the products in my kit doesn’t work. Can I get a replacement?
Yes, please call our delivery partner at 1-888-371-6551 to help you with this request.
My tracking information says my kit arrived, but I did not receive it. Can I get a replacement kit sent to me?
Please call our delivery partner at 1-888-371-6551. They will investigate the delivery status of your kit and arrange for a replacement kit if required.
What should I do with the products that I replace with the new products?
We recommend immediately installing the new products you received and to dispose of the products that are removed in accordance with regional waste regulations. By immediately replacing your products and disposing of the old inefficient products you will maximize your energy and money savings. How you dispose of the old products depends on what type of product it is. You can visit rethinkwastenl.ca for more information on how to dispose of products properly.
Are all of the products safe for use in my home?
All of the products included in your kit have been certified through rigorous standards including CUL safety certification, the standard safety certification in Canada, and ENERGY STAR.
I have received my kit. When should I install the products?
We highly recommend that you install the products immediately and dispose of the removed products in accordance with regional waste regulations. By installing your products immediately, you will get the most energy savings from your new products, which will in turn lower the energy use in your home. Installation instructions have been included in your kit. However, if you need assistance, our delivery partner is ready to assist you. They can be reached at 1-888-371-6551.
I haven’t seen a change in my power bill since installing the products. How much money or energy will this save me each year?
Installing the products in your kit can save you up to $100* per year. Each of the products that are included in your kit use significantly less energy than traditional, inefficient products, however due to the number of factors that contribute to household energy use sometimes the savings are not apparent on your energy bills. Factors such as outside air temperature, the number of people in your home, your thermostat settings and even shifts from the pandemic, such as working from home, can all have an impact on your household energy use.
