Insulation Installers

The following insulation contractors have met the established criteria for the TakeCharge Canada Greener Homes Program. TakeCharge requires you to use a participating certified contractor to complete your insulation project.

While the credentials of these individuals have been verified, Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro does not endorse any one specific individual or company. TakeCharge does not guarantee the quality of work, materials, or services provided by contractors participating in or associated with this, or other, programs. The list is sorted by region of Newfoundland and Labrador served as indicated by the company, then alphabetically by company.

Insulation Installer Criteria:

  • Provide confirmation of good standing in Registry of Companies for Newfoundland and Labrador is required. Continuous good standing is required to remain eligible for the program. Extra-provincial companies must be extra-provincially registered in the Registry of Companies of Newfoundland and Labrador in order to be eligible for inclusion in the program.
  • Be accredited with the Better Business Bureau, or COR Certified, or member of RenoMark
  • If installing spray foam insulation, you must have the appropriate certification for the product you are installing
  • Have $2,000,000 commercial and/or general liability insurance. You must confirm insurance annually.
  • Have Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission insurance.
  • Provide a letter of good standing from WorkplaceNL.
  • Must submit proposed project pricing to TakeCharge.
  • Installer history of compliance with the rules, standards, and codes of conduct of other utility-sponsored or administered programs will be taken into account when determining eligibility for program participation.
