HRV Installers
The following contractors are recognized by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) as having completed a Certified Residential Mechanical Ventilation Certification and hold a current Certification Wallet Card. TakeCharge requires you to use a participating certified contractor to complete your HRV project.
While the credentials of these individuals have been verified, Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro does not endorse any specific individual or company. TakeCharge does not guarantee the quality of work, materials, or services provided by contractors participating in or associated with this, or other, programs. The list is sorted by region of Newfoundland and Labrador served, as indicated by the company, then alphabetically by company name and does not represent quality or preference for certain installers.

HRV Contractor Criteria:
- Be recognized by the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) as having completed a Certified Residential Mechanical Ventilation Certification and holding a current Certification Wallet Card. Confirmation of good standing in Registry of Companies for Newfoundland and Labrador is required. Continuous good standing is required to remain eligible for the program.
- Extra-provincial companies must be extra-provincially registered in the Registry of Companies of Newfoundland and Labrador in order to be eligible for inclusion in the program.
- Have $2,000,000 commercial and/or general liability insurance. Must confirm insurance annually.
- Have Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission insurance.
- Provide a letter of good standing from WorkplaceNL.
- Install HRVs listed on the TakeCharge Qualifying HRV Model list.
- Must submit proposed project pricing to TakeCharge.
- Installer history of compliance with the rules, standards, and codes of conduct of other utility-sponsored or administered programs will be taken into account when determining eligibility for program participation
