Our EV Roadshow made 4 stops around the province in 2022, giving Newfoundlanders and Labradorians a chance to learn about electric vehicles from experts and EV owners – for free! A great first stop in St. John’s!

Details
The first stop on our roadshow — at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market — was a success.
Tons of people stopped by to talk with EV experts, owners, and dealers about everything EVs. We had some level 2 chargers to check out, and answered lots of questions about the takeCHARGE Electric Vehicle Charging Network
There was an opening ceremony with some short speeches about the exciting future of EVs in Newfoundland and Labrador. We also gave away prizes just for being there! Someone walked away with a level 2 charger, and one lucky guest got a kids ride-on Tesla!

All the who’s who in driving electric were at the event – EV drivers, experts, and local St. John’s dealers from Audi, BMW, and Mini.
All-EV St. John’s and Electric Vehicle Network NL were also on hand with the latest information on available EV models.
Drive Electric NL was here too – a non-profit, neutral company focused on giving people straightforward information about driving electric. It was great for guests to hear real stories from real EV drivers.
Drive Electric Atlantic, your one-stop-shop for evidence-based information, brought us all up to speed on upcoming events, local rebates, and what it’s actually like to own an EV in specific areas of the province.
Local vendors were also here selling their yummy treats!
And of course, takeCHARGE was here – that’s us! We were thrilled to talk to drivers about making the switch to electric, our Electric Vehicle Charging Network, rebate programs and more.

There was lots of EV curiosity in Corner Brook during our roadshow event there on July 10th.
Guests talked to EV experts, owners, and dealers to learn everything about owning an electric vehicle in Newfoundland and Labrador.
They also learned about charging an EV at home. We had some Level 2 EV chargers on hand, and lots of information about the takeCHARGE Electric Vehicle Charging Network.

Details
The roadshow made its third stop in Gander’s – Cobb’s Pond Rotary Park! It was free family entertainment.
On August 27, guests attended the roadshow to speak with EV experts, owners, and dealers in Newfoundland and Labrador to learn all they wanted to know about owning an electric vehicle. Plus, they learned all about charging your EV at home.
Guests got the opportunity to check out some available Level 2 EV chargers and found out more about the takeCHARGE Electric Vehicle Charging Network.

The event was attended by EV drivers, experts, and dealers, the who’s who of electric driving. Drive Electric NL, a neutral, non-profit organization dedicated to providing straightforward information about electric vehicles, was also at the event.
Of course, takeCHARGE was also present at the event – that would be us! We were ecstatic to speak with drivers about switching to electric vehicles, our Electric Vehicle Charging Network, rebate programs, and more.
Rocky Harbour

Details
The last EV Roadshow event of 2022 brought us to beautiful Rocky Harbour, in Gros Morne National Park. Curious drivers and people who are new to EVs met with EV experts and owners to learn everything about owning an electric vehicle in Newfoundland and Labrador, including charging EVs at home and the takeCHARGE Electric Vehicle Charging Network.
Plus, we gave away an EbGO CC47 Electric Bicycle, valued at approximately $2000! Designed for comfort on paved and gravel roads, this super quiet 8-speed e-bike with a 500-watt brushless motor will get up to 80km of assisted biking on a single charge.

Thanks to all the EV drivers and experts who generously gave their time to speak with attendees and answer questions.
Drive Electric NL was also there. This non-profit company answered all kinds of questions about driving electric. They have tons of experience and real stories from EV drivers, and they’re neutral to all brands. They provided straightforward information that helped navigate any uncertainty about driving electric.
And of course, takeCHARGE (that’s us!) was there. Our team spread the word about our Electric Vehicle Charging Network and told attendees everything they needed to know about making the switch to electric. They also gave out helpful tips on rebate programs and energy efficiency.
