Here’s How You Get Your Money Back

Homeowner must meet eligibility requirements. Only programmable thermostats or electronic thermostats with a temperature rating of +/- 0.5 degrees Celsius are eligible for the rebate. Information on thermostats can be found on Natural Resources Canada’s website.

Purchase and Have Your Thermostats Installed

Select a programmable thermostat or an electronic thermostat with a temperature rating of +/- 0.5 degrees Celsius.
Complete the Thermostat Rebate Coupon

Download and print the Thermostat Rebate Coupon.
Submit Your Coupon to Get Your Rebate

Once your thermostats are installed, submit a completed and signed Thermostat Rebate Coupon to your electricity provider. You must attach your original receipts for the purchase of your thermostats and the UPC code from each product package. (Original receipts can be returned by requesting it on the coupon.)

Allow up to eight weeks for your electricity provider to process your rebate after the completed coupon and receipts have been submitted. Your electricity provider may conduct a post-installation visit before processing the rebate or within 12 months of the date of application.

Is My Home Eligible?

Your Home Qualifies If:

You are the homeowner and the home has an active electricity account.
It is detached, semi-detached, or a mobile/modular home on a permanent foundation and intended as a residence.
The home is all-electric, or if a supplementary heating system is in place that the home has an annual electricity usage equal to or greater than 15,000 kWh.
No other person/contractor has received rebates for the same project.
